We have developed a programme of special events, talks and practical sessions at the nursery throughout the year which are proving popular with our customers

• In February we focus on Helleborus in the Winter Garden

• April is when we hold our  Special Woodland and Shade Loving Plants Days

• In May we are holding our a Complete Chicken Day

• In September there are two Special Autumn Open Days

The Hellebore Open Days 2009

A Complete Chicken Day 2009

Saturday 9 May 2009         9.30am - 4.30pm  

£1 ENTRY (no concessions)

Roger and Teresa Harvey have enjoyed keeping chickens for nearly twenty years and have an interesting flock of hens which live in part of the orchard. Chickens make interesting 'pets' and fresh eggs for the kitchen are a real treat. Come along, be inspired and find out more about keeping chickens.

• Experts from the Norfolk Poultry Club and Colchester Poultry Club will be on hand

• Talks throughout the day Prize birds on show

• Stalls and poultry related equipment for sale

• Poultry and fertile eggs for sale on the day

Special Autumn Open Days 2009

Does your garden lack colour and interest later in the year?

Colour in the garden in late summer and early autumn can be difficult to achieve

On these Special Days a vibrant display will demonstrate how to liven up your garden

•   A wide selection of autumn flowering plants will be available for purchase including Heleniums, Anemone hybrida  varieties, Sedums, grasses, and asters

•   Expert advice from Roger Harvey who has designed many gardens in East Anglia

•   Pre-ordering possible

•  'Autumn Ablaze' - Talks by Roger Harvey during the day which will incorporate a guided tour of the 'Hot Border'

Flower Shows 2009

We attend a number of garden shows around the country

These are the ones we plan to attend in 2009 - more dates may be added

Pre-ordered plants can be brought to any show, but at least one week's notice is needed
